An Iron and Metal Recycling Facility, Located in Dayton, Ohio called and had a transformer fail and was asking for help. I contacted Don Morris to asked for his assistance. Between Don and Mike Butler, we decided to get Springfield Field Service involved. Jim Delawder and I were to make a site visit, collect photos and information to feed back to Don for evaluation. 2000 HP DC Shredder Motors

A recycling scrapyard in Dayton, OH had a few problems with one of two 2000 HP DC motors. The outboard motor was going through brushes and they were having flash-over issues causing field coil damage.
