University Dairy Farm Fan Replacement
Horner recently undertook a critical project for a university dairy farm, replacing a fan for a geothermal A/C unit located in the middle of a field. Our team success- fully replaced the fan unit, fan, motor, and housing, ensuring the smooth operation of this essential equipment. The geothermal A/C system captures air from the field and directs it through an underground tunnel into the barns and offices of the dairy farm. This sustainable solution utilizes the ambient temperature of the ground to warm or cool the air, depending on the season. Notably, this
university dairy farm is a key player in supporting the research, teaching, and extension needs of the Indiana dairy industry, providing a home for 190 dairy cows and 190 dairy herd replacements. The main building, housing crucial facilities, is temperature-controlled using air from two geothermal fields. We take pride in contributing to the success of our clients and look forward to more opportunities to showcase our expertise.
