Horner is a diverse organization headquartered on the near east side of Indianapolis, with multiple work locations in Indianapolis, Ft. Wayne, Terre Haute, Springfield Ohio, Cincinnati Ohio, with International locations in Ireland, India and China.

    Summary

    The IT Manager is responsible for technology planning, management, and coordination of all IT services to the company. This is a hands-on management role, and the successful candidate will work in partnership with IT and business leadership to develop technology strategy, implement plans, and support the business functions to achieve the operational goals. Work is performed primarily in the Indianapolis headquarters office. Travel will be required at times to other company locations.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage IT department resources and support daily operations.
    • Manage and maintain the business applications and IT infrastructure.
    • Manage contract negotiations and coordination of services across multiple vendors.
    • Collaborate with business partners to determine how technology can drive value for the company, address issues and identify solutions to meet or exceed business needs.
    • Ensure success of projects and IT maintenance / support across IT and business functions, incorporate best practices and compliance with company standards and industry regulations, maintaining compliance with and adhering to security policies and best practices.
    • Handle annual IT budget and ensure cost effectiveness.

    Qualifications

    •  1+ years management or supervisory experience with IT Infrastructure
    •  5+ years of experience in IT Helpdesk support role.
    • Hands on experience managing line of business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365 and Enterprise Resource Planning), database, telecommunications systems, and IT infrastructure (PCs, networks, and servers).
    • Ability to multi-task, manage projects, set time frames, and meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrates ability to learn new technologies, systems, and processes.

    •  Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience and technical certifications
